The group will rendezvous at 4:00 pm in Peninsula State Park at Eagle Tower. Walking the 2-mile Eagle Trail, we will capture spectacular views of Lake Michigan and the rich forest hues. Landscape and macro photographers will be delighted while photographing the essence of this colorful ecosystem and reflections off of Lake Michigan.

Any level photographer is welcome! We will go over the basics of photography like composition and exposure as well as the manual camera controls. Being in beautiful Door County we will learn landscape how to shoot the perfect sunset. The class begins with a discussion on the type of photography desired and we build the class off of the participants themselves. The hike ends at the famous Eagle Tower where we will be able to capture 360 degree views of the Lake Michigan Coast Line and blue waters below. Point-and-Shoots as well as Digital SLRS welcome!

"I learned so much from the program my first year I ended up coming back the following summer with several other camera lovers. She was a delight to work with. Her knowledge of cameras along with her ability to work with people is what made it such a great experience. In the classes there were people of many difference skill sets and Erika was able to teach us all. She was able to break down information in a digestible format for us to understand. She demonstrated the right balance of giving us just enough information and then giving us time to process and practice it before going on to the next teaching point. Erika would frequently ask us questions, which made us really think about what we did and did not understand. Her ability to take something complex and make it fun is what kept me coming back. As with any photographer you want to take better pictures. I wanted to understand how to get out of the automatic mode and she taught me that. I get it now! And, I’m taking better pictures. I credit this to Erika and the teaching time I had with her."

This was a most incredible experience!!! The guides were so knowledgeable, patient and self actualizing, getting us to think about what we wanted to "get" in our expression of the grandeur we saw. Federico was truly inspiring to me and my friend who now has a new interest for his life. Bless you for this work.Dena , Student in the National Parks
Hey there Federico, I enjoyed attending your Canon photography in the parks video seminar, you exemplify the qualities of a great film-maker… Have a nice day, and try to get to the Burning Tree in otter creek before you head out of town.
